LT22114 – Small Footprint - Three Way 8 lanes PCIe SoC

The LT22114 is a low power, small footprint device providing dual GPU solution for mobile and desktop motherboards as well as AiB applications.

The device incorporates 24 lanes and a peer to peer enabled PCI-Express switching capability. With one x 8 upstream port and two x 8 downstream ports, this device is well suited for a multi GPU environment with power consumption constraints. The upstream port typically connects to the system’s chipset North Bridge or host CPU serving as the Root Complex. The two downstream ports connect to two on board GPUs or MXM modules by any vendor. The embedded endpoint incorporates a RISC processor and DMA engines using Lucid’s proprietary algorithms.

The LT22114 connects seamlessly to any vendor’s chipset or host CPU and to any vendor’s GPU. It is compliant with Microsoft Vista, Win7 OS and DirectX9c, DirectX 10.1 and is DirectX11 ready. It enables graphic performance scaling of up to 2 GPUs. Together with the HYDRA driver, the LT22114 provides an adaptive and dynamic, parallel graphics load-balancing scheme. The system resolves bottlenecks and dependencies in the system and optimizes the usage of GPU resources while maintaining minimal power consumption.
