The HYDRA 100 Series
HYDRA 100 Series is the first SoC from Lucid that is designed to scale graphics performance using multiple off-the-shelf graphics processors. The solution is seamless to the application and GPU vendor to meet the needs of various visual computing markets. The HYDRA 100 system on chip is designed to manage and load-balance graphics tasks from the CPU to the display across multiple GPUs ensuring efficient scaling for maximum GPU performance.
Real-time Distribution and Load Balancing
The Lucid HYDRA 100 Series is based on a cluster of unique decision making algorithms that allows the ASIC to load balance graphics tasks on a per frame basis in real time. Now, each GPU can realize their processing power while working in parallel.
Scalability
The HYDRA supports up to four GPUs so a user can choose the price and performance level of the graphics platform. The platform performance will improve in a linear proportion to the number of GPUs installed.
Support for Any Vendor
The HYDRA 100 is a single, low power SoC that has been tested to work with GPUs, CPUs and chipsets from leading vendors for implementations onto various types of motherboards and add in graphics cards or in an external pod.
